The Greek National Tourism Organisation (GΝΤΟ) has been awarded with the top honor in Tourism Awards 2015. In particular, GΝΤΟ and MPASS, the edge-technology company that developed the relevant application, were honored with the Gold award in the category of “Digital & Social Marketing: Innovative TV app”, for the implementation of “Visit Greece” TV app for Samsung Smart TV, which introduces Greece to millions of Samsung Smart TV users, worldwide.
The "Visit Greece" application with the strength of its simplicity and immediacy, guides people to the most distinctive and beautiful Greek destinations through a rich audiovisual content, by creating a unique digital experience exclusively through the Samsung Smart TV. The viewer with the click of a button can be navigated in photos from every corner of Greece, identify the different aspects of our country during the four seasons, take a tour to any archaeological site and other cultural sites, or meet the Greek gastronomy and the other Greek products.
The Samsung and GNTO collaboration sends the image of Greece, through the Samsung Smart TV, over more than 50 countries, in Europe, the States, Asia, Australia, etc., introducing a modern and innovative communication channel to promote Greek tourism worldwide.
The Tourism Awards were organized by Boussias Communications and Hotel & Restaurant magazine aiming to honor excellence and innovation in the field of Travel, Hospitality & Leisure.
With the assignment from GNTO of the technical implementation for Samsung Smart TV application, MPASS confirmed its’ leading position in the Sector of Advanced Services through Digital Channels, with pioneering applications for the Tourism industry. The award of the application Visit Greece for Samsung Smart TV underlines the competitive advantage of MPASS in developing innovative, high quality applications, including apps for Samsung Smart TV.
